FAQs

Q. I am planning my wedding in 2010, are you taking orders?

A. I'm afraid not - fully booked with work!

Q. Oh noooooooooo!

A. I know! Sorry about that!

Q. Never mind, I shall make my own wedding cupcakes, ha!

A. What an excellent idea!

Q. So, where are Fair Cake classes held?

A. Currently all classes are held in Greenwich, London.

Q. Why don't you have your exact location online?

A. Fair Cake is a home run business - the last thing I would want is copious amounts of junk mail!

Q. Do you offer any discounts on your classes?

A. I'm afraid not.

Q. Really? That's odd. I can get discounts in pretty much every high street shop!

A. Fair Cake is not a high street shop, its not even a shop!

Q. Do I get a discount if I book more than one class?

A. Not a discount, but you get a fifth class free if you book four classes! Please email hello@faircake.co.uk for more details. The four classes must be booked for the same person and the fifth free class must be claimed within four months of the fourth class attended.

Q. So what is special about your classes then?!

A. The fantastic return rate! More than 40% of students who come to a Fair Cake class come to a second class!

Q. I am flying to London for your classes and do not know much about the city. Where do I stay and what do I do?

A. Welcome to London! Fair Cake classes are held in Greenwich, which is a fabulous tourist destination. Here is a list of hotels in Greenwich. Greenwich is easily accessible from London Bridge via Southern Trains. London City Airport is the nearest airport from here. You can also take the DLR to Greenwich.

Q. Are there any free parking spaces nearby?

A. I'm afraid not. Pretty much all parking around here is metered.

Q. What is the minimum age for participants?

A. 16 years is the minimum age for participants. Younger participants will have to be accompanied by an adult

Q. Do I need to bring any equipment to the class?

A. Nope! Just bring an apron and a big flat bottomed bag to take away cupcakes or cake.

Q. Should I bring lunch?

A. Yes. We will break for 20 minutes at lunchtime, please bring a packed lunch.

Q. What happens if I am early for a class?

A. As mentioned above, Fair Cake is a home run business. If you are early, I might just be vacuuming and won't be able to let you in. I do send names of fantastic local cafes to get an early morning tea and coffee fix while you wait patiently for the class to begin.

Q. Is is ok for me to take pictures during the class?

A. Yes, as long as other participants do not have issues with it. Please DO NOT post pictures on Facebook or other social networking sites/websites without prior consent.

Q. I have a small business and was wondering if you would share your business secrets with me?

A. I run a workshop called "Tricks of the Trade". I'm afraid I cannot divulge workshop material over email or the phone - it would not be fair to participants who come to my class.
