Class runs from 10am - 5pm on both days. 

In this brand new class for 2018, Graziella Augier will teach her favourites - cake painting and sugar flower making, all in one class! If cake painting looks daunting to you, do not despair. Let's be honest, if you do not rourtinely pick up and brush a beautiful flower on paper, you might wonder whether you can do that on cake? Why, yes you can! Using templates and simple steps, anyone can be an artist, you just need the right guidance and Graziella will show you how. In this class, you will work with black Massa Ticino sugarpaste, it is THE sugarpaste (fondant) that is the choice of all professional cake makers. 

In this two day class, you will learn:

How to make wired sugar tulips, complete with delicate shading

How to decorate a wedding cake using edible paint

How to cover a real cake with chocolate ganache to get a perfect finish

How to cover a chocolate ganache covered cake with black fondant (Massa Ticino) and achieve sharp edges

How to cover a dummy cake with sharp edged sugarpaste

How to stack and dowel a wedding cake

PLEASE NOTE: You will be working on a two tiered version of this cake so that all the techniques can be learned over a two day period.

You will go home with:

New skills in working with fondant/achieving sharp edges

New skills in working with dark chocolate ganache

New skills in making wired sugar flowers, along with dusting and taping

New skills in cake painting using templates

A two tiered cake to show off all your new skills

Answers to all cake related questions you can throw at us!

All ingredients and equipment for the day are provided, you do not need to bring anything with you.  Please note that you will be encouraged to work at your own speed. Everyone in class is likely to have different skill levels. The teacher will ensure that you work at a pace suitable for you.

Please note that pictures are for illustrative purposes only. You will take home atwo tiered cake. Cakes will be prebaked for you in this class.
